Her first job was interning for Academy Award-winning Director Mark Rydell ("On Golden Pond") on an HBO production which landed her a paid *casting assistant position within two weeks. In addition, Robyn has many years experience in putting on acting workshops where she takes the students through a series of exercises including cold readings, one-on-one instruction and portfolio analysis.

In January 2007, Robyn Owen Casting joined forces with Geneva Bray seeking to be a liaison between LA-based directors and producers who want to cast in the New England area. As an independent Casting Director, Owen will be able to do principle casting for LA-based films and television shows, as well as cast film and television programs produced in New England. Owen has also launched a series of acting workshops at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) in Cambridge, Mass., where she shares her in-depth knowledge of how to break into show business with the scores of potential actors in the Greater Boston area.
